　　用法2：more ... than is/was done（如expected/thought likely/required）

　　比预期的/所能想象的/所要求的

　　比想象当中更多的学生参与到了这项活动中。

　　2. Reading items accounted for 13% of total Indian expenditure in 2003,3 times larger than was spent in 1993.

　　阅读项目占印度2003年总开支的13%，这一数字是1993年的3倍（3倍于1993年被花在这块的钱。）

　　3. On the other hand, employers have driven down the rate of unemploymentfaster than was thought possible.

　　另一方面，雇主们降低失业率的速度比所能想象的更快。
