　　在句子中作结果状语的从句称为结果状语从句。结果状语从句一般置于句尾。常用来引导结果状语的引导词或短语有：so、so that、so...that...、such that、such...that...、that等。

　　（一）so that与so...that...引导的结果状语从句

　　So that/so...that...引导结果状语从句，意为“如此......以至于”，在口语中，that常可省略。

　　1）so that引导的结果状语从句

　　例句：In his fury,he threw the vase upon the groundso (that) they were broken.

　　他盛怒之下，便把花瓶扔到地上，摔破了。

　　例句：We moved to the countryso that we were away from the noisy and dull city.

　　我们搬到了乡下，所以我们远离了喧嚣、单调的城市。

　　例句：She is ill so that she can't attend the meeting this afternoon.

　　她病了，不能参加今天下午的会议了。

　　2）so...that...引导的结果状语从句

　　so...that...引导结果状语从句可以构成如下结构：

　　例句：Mike issohonest a manthatwe all believe him.

　　迈克是如此诚实的一个人，以至于大家都相信了他。

　　例句：Lily left homesohurriedlythatshe left her documents home.

　　莉莉出门时太匆忙，结果文件落在家里了。

　　（二）such(...) that...引导的结果状语从句

　　such(...) that...引导结果状语从句，可以构成如下结构：

　　例句：It issuchnice weatherthatI'd like to take a walk.

　　天气是如此之好，以至于我想去散步。

　　例句：Kathy issucha young girlthatshe can't go to school.

　　凯西年龄太小，还不能去上学。

　　注意！为了强调形容词或副词，so/such...that...引导的结果状语从句可把so/such置于句首，主句用倒装语序。

　　例句：Soexcited was hethathe could not fall into sleep.

　　他太激动了不能入睡。

　　例句：Socarelesslydidhe drivethathe nearly got killed.

　　他开车如此粗心差点丧命。

　　例句：Suchgood newsdid wegetthateveryone was excited.

　　我们得到这么好的消息，以致每个人都很兴奋。

　　（三）that引导的结果状语从句

　　例句：Kate is conceitedthatwe all don't want to work together with her.

　　凯特如此自负，我们都不想和她一起工作。

　　例句：The question is of great importancethatit cannot be neglected.

　　这个问题很重要，不容忽视。
