AEIS英语语法之“分数词”详解

　　分数词的一般表示法：分子用基数词表示，分母用序数词表示，如果分子大于1，分母用序数词的复数形式。

　　如：one-fourth，seven-ninths，two and three-fifths，thirty and seven-eighths。

　　You spend one-second of the monthly expense on body-building .

　　你将月开销的二分之一用于健身运动。

　　We covered one-half (of) the distance on foot.

　　我们步行了一半路程。

　　I think we＇ve covered three quarters of the distance now.

　　我想我们现在已经走了全程的四分之三。

　　Each piece is called one-fourth (or one-quarter).

　　每一块称为四分之一。

　　If I ate two pieces, I ate two-fourths, namely one-second.

　　如果我吃了两块，我就吃了四分之二，亦即二分之一。

　　分数词的特殊表示法。

　　如：a(one) half，a quarter，three quarters，two and a quarter，one and a half，twenty-two over nine。

　　My bag is at least 21/2 times the weight of yours.

　　我的包至少是你们的两倍半重。

　　I give you one half, and keep the other half for myself.

　　我给你们一半，自己留了另一半。

　　A quarter of the students are girls.

　　学生中的四分之一是女生。

　　She used one-third of her income on clothing.

　　她把自己三分之一的收入用于服装。

　　Some $30 million, about one-sixth of the total budget, was spent on medical care last year.
